German TV Channel ZDF had a short video on lithium production in the Salar de Uyuni last week. It’s quiet a optimistic (even naive?) one, saying things like “Bolivia turns into the Saudi Arabia of Lithium” without mentioning all the problems and challenges that are connected with this huge project. In german only.

After doing contact sheets and scanning a whole bunch of pictures, i produced working prints and tried to edit it. Obviously, easier said than done.
I also went to Dortmund University twice to attend “thesis class” and discuss my and all the other thesis projects with our Professor Susanne Bruegger.
Apart from keeping editing, I’m working on a potential book layout and trying to define a book size. I’m also interchanging ideas for this book with David Middlemiss who will, probably together with an us-american phd scholar from California, contribute texts to the book project.
Last news: I booked the second trip to Bolivia and will be in Bolivia all January to add further material to the project. Hopefully it will be possible to take portraits of important politicians, including the bolivian president Evo Morales. Chances are not too bad.

During the last weeks, more people decided to support my thesis project and to “order” prints of the BIG L Edition. For 50 Euros (students 25 Euros, S&H incl.), you can still become a donator and get a fine art print of my recent work. Here are some impressions from the studio when I produced and shipped the prints recently.
